Credits are the fuel your agents use to work. Each credit equals one interaction, whether you talk to an agent directly or it runs automatically through a trigger or workflow.

Every time an agent processes a request, chat message, workflow step, scheduled trigger, or integration event, it counts as one interaction, and therefore one credit.

Not right now. Each month you start fresh, like a clean dopamine hit. If you need more runway, you can always upgrade for a bigger monthly stash.

When you use Dopamine's shared API keys for integrations (like SerpAPI, BrightData, etc.), each interaction consumes 10 credits instead of 1. This is because shared keys have usage limitations and higher costs. You can always use your own API keys instead to consume just 1 credit per interaction.
